[2] The Dialectic
The Dialectic is the second systems shape of the Semantic Ontology Framework (SOF). This frame illustrates how environmental tensions held creatively or generatively create the context for systems evolution. The frame adds two components to [1] Prime of the first systems shape: The Alpha and The Beta. The Alpha represents motion towards order and the Push-forces in the system. The Beta represents motion towards entropy and the Pull-forces in the system. The Alpha and Beta can be thought of as two tensions (or manifold pairs of tensions), that open up space for the system to evolve. These tensions are woven into all elements of the system, joining with [1] The Prime to form the three types of systems motion in [3] The Trinity. Like [1] The Prime, The Dialectic consists of elements beyond the bounds of system that directly influence that system, especially the influence of the Alpha and Beta: the forces of push/order and pull/entropy on the system.
