Reason there aren’t any cars

Loss of industry makes it almost impossible to:

• to acquire oil
• lithium-ion batteries are all expired and they can’t make more
• after the climate disaster, newly imposed laws make it hard to own a car
• machines are combing the roads for anything worth salvaging including cars, trucks, and any other object they come across
• huge EMPs made most car useless so they were thrown out
• people scared of the robots mostly stay at home or have concentrated in the community hubs not leaving unless they absolutely have to so see cars are scarce
• the zombie hoards have chased the people in front of them and the people had fled in cars as often as not
• aliens abducted all the cars

Okay those are all me reasons there are no cars to be seen on the roads would love to hear your suggestions.
