[3] Functional MBS Tricotomy

Functional MBS Tricotomy is a Frame illustrating Mind-Body-Spirit (MBS) in the [3] Tricotomy form of [3] The Trinity: the third system shape of Semantic Ontological Frameworks (SOF). The frame helps conceptually define the terms “mind”, “body”, and “spirit” as three spaces which form the ecology of a human individual. Mind is equivalent to soul (thus psyche, Greek for “soul”, as the root of psychology) and represents in inner life of the individual in three key parts: intention (the will), perception, and relation. Body means the biological vehicle of the individual which interacts with the physical world. The body does this on three levels, each developmentally progressive and greater in scope than the previous: skills, behaviors, and experiences. Spirit means an expansive inner space the opens up to the infinite universe on three levels: the systemic, transcendent, and anagogic. The tricotomy includes two flows: one out and one in. The mind is the mediator of both (Cycle), while spirit and body exchange roles as either the Source or Drive element depending on the flow.
