Cohorts Name List
Since UK has a collaborative philosophy of development, users have a real role in creating resources and content in our community. This means we use a Spiral Approach in development: we build things using a simultaneously linear and cyclical approach.
The linear part of our development is represented by our Canonical Versions of content and resources. These versions have a stable core, but evolve in a sequential way over time as people interact with and contribute to their development.
The cycles in our development process are represented by subsequent groups of people going through the same process together. We call these groups Cohorts. A cohort is any group going through a process cycle together at the same time. When cohorts execute different iterations of the same process that cohorts before them completed, they can refine and contribute to the Canonical Version of the resource or content they are using.
The following table lists the usual names for cohorts in sequence:
Order | Name / Tag | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | [Inceptus] | The original cohort to execute a process and develop a resource. Often the most authoritative group for determining a Canonical Version. |
2 | [Recinus] | The second cohort. Usually they have the biggest role as reformers, pointing out areas of refinement needed. |
