Console
Console is a Frame-to-Frame, visually navigable Interface of the Semantic Ontology Framework (SOF) built from hyperlinked SVG files. It allows a person to use an image-based rather than text-based interface to the SOF universe.
Guidelines:
- Console Size: The Console boundary is a “BlueBox” rectangle of roughly 16:9, based on common screen configurations for desktop monitors, laptops, and tablets. Objects in the Frame “loaded” in the Console of any particular file may extend beyond this rectangle, but the rectangle indicates the area of focus of the creator. Currently (Version 3.0+) the “BlueBox” is built on SVG files set to 1056px x 816px @ 96 DPI, although as vectors, this can be scaled indefinitely. When SVGs are converted to PNG format for display in text documents, like web pages, the resulting file is usually rendered limited to the Console BlueBox.
- User Predictable Hyperlinking: Shapes should link to shapes (so other SVG files). Text (titles, lables, etc) should link to text (Codex entries).
