Disciple-Making

Disciple-Making is defined by the life and practice of Jesus. It is the intentional, inter-personal process of helping someone grow in the Lordship of Jesus, in their likeness to him, and in walking on life-on-life mission with him ([3] The Three Ls). The practice and process of Disciple-Making involves physically, mentally, and spiritually1 walking with people as they become disciples2 of Jesus and learn to walk in his Way. Disciple-Making is a supportive process and role that can be executed in any of the modes of discipleship: Missional Community, Spiritual Friendship, Coaching, and Servant Leadership. The Disciple Maker (DM) offers themselves, their story, and their relational network in support of the Disciple’s growth.

Disciple-Making is currently being developed into a course around the metaphor of Journeying with Jesus where Jesus is the map that helps both the disciple and the DM know their location on the journey and what to expect along the Way.
