New City Economy
New City Economy refers to the in-game economy of the New City region of the E-land SparkQuest STF Minecraft Map playable in the Shelter the Flame story and game. Part of the larger SparkQuest Economy in-game and on this site, the economy is handled by the “dollars” currency of the GemsEconomy plugin.
The in-game portion of the economy is handled by interactions with SparkQuest NPCs through shops that allow sell, buy, and trade transactions and quests. Economic transactions also occur in-game informally between players.
The website portion of the economy is handled by two systems:
- The SitePoint System that allows players to earn points for posting, comment, and learning on the website. These points can then be converted into in-game dollars.
- The SparkQuest Economy forum allows players to post notices for sale of items, jobs for pay, and various types of real estate property for sale.
