Relic

A Relic is an artifact, specimen, structure, or feature used to “tune” the restoration of an Evolution Seed created by the INDX Project in the SparkQuest Metagame. A Relic can be an object for any of the Four Layers of Human Life. The INDX Project collects information about a Relic and connects this with Story so this Seed can be restored in the future. Relics are then hidden in locations safe from MARTIE so they can be collected and used to “tune” the restoration process — if the evolution of the Seed fails to produce something similar to the Relic, the Seed must be corrupted in some way.

Relics are hidden by players on the SQTerra-Alpha Minecraft world as vanilla, mod, or custom objects. If a custom object, the game data is located in the SQ-STF Resource Pack (SQ-STF-RP). This process starts with Choose a Relic and then proceeds with Research Story.

  1. Elaborate structures can be represented by a schematic rather than placed as blocks on the map, but must be hid in the Nether since they are “digital objects”.
