TBS-CNE

TBS-CNE is short for Techno-Bio-Social Catastrophic Network Effects and refers to a key problem that emerged as System VS attempted to use Virtualization to mitigate the Storm of Complexity. The construction of open and flat Virtualized Networks made large-scale viral effects possible that would threaten systemically-catastrophic change (CNE). The early 21st Century spread of these networks into social, economic, and biological systems, plus their largely unmitigated environmental impacts has led to most CNE now being always Techno-Bio-Social (TBS), meaning it is causes by and impacts all three of these areas of life. The emergence of TBS-CNE is the Environmental Challenge of Universe VS and a key driver in their race to solve The Control Problem — they feel the need for Cybernetics to give control across the TBS domains, thus IoT, AI, implanted technologies, etc.
