OBJECTIVE 1: Get our course images ready.

@BlackoutKnight I’m going to send you the vector file for the course feature image. Please isolate the cool fight and stretch the box to match 16:9 aspect ratio.

@etcetera please find a cover photo we can have rights to: either Wikimedia Commons, Shutterstock, or a museum collection with images in the public domain.

OBJECTIVE 2: Start learning how to create timelines using our martial arts.

Let’s also begin to outline the history of your chosen martial art.

    1. Find at least 5 dates for your martial art. Try searching for a historical timeline. Look at the wikipedia entry for important dates.
    2. Watch this video tutorial on our timeline plugin: https://cooltimeline.com/docs/cool-timeline-pro/video-tutorials/
    3. Experiment with placing the dates on the timeline according to the tutorial.

I also edited it to fit the space were we want to put it, but since I didn’t know the dimensions I made a guess of it:

The oldest surviving manual of western swordsmanship dates to the thirteens hundreds, however historical mention fencing schools as far back and the 12th century. In 1880 the first instance it being a sport took place in the Grand Military Tournament and Assault at Arms were they blacked the tips in order to count the scoring and each bout was for five hits. In 1896 the Amateur Gymnastics and Fencing Association drew up the first set of official fencing regulations. The same year fencing was an event in the 1896 summer Olympics. All three forms Sabre, Epee, and Foil have been present in every summer Olympics save two occasions, once in 1896 were Epee was absent, and again in 1908 were there was no foil. Soon after that the began integrating automatic scoring systems, starting with Epee in 1933, Foil in 1956, and Sabre in 1988.
