On September 11, 2011 also known as 9/11, Islamic terrorist groups flew two planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The terrorists attacked because the CIA had given money to counter terrorist groups in Afghanistan

The terrorist groups targeted the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

The terrorists are mostly unknown but the ringleader was named Mohamed Atta.

Osama bin Laden, an Afghan leader was the leader of the terrorists groups that destroyed the Twin Towers.

The act was completed by hijacking four planes and flying them into the buildings one plane didn’t make it .

Ethan, I appreciated your pretty thorough explanation of the events of September 11th, especially on the details of how many and who were lost that day, the ways in which the men over took the planes, and how the events affected life afterward.

Noah, I appreciated the tidbit about the possible motivation of the group of men as being a response to funding of counter terrorism in Afghanistan.
