    I’m developing a G.A.T. idea for Master Chief Collection: Halo: Reach around the theme of finding your place on the team. It would talk about the stereotypical RPG team roles (or military spec ops team roles) represented in Noble Team (you play the game as Noble Six, a new member to the team) and connect this with the 5 Equipping Gifts in Ephesians 4 — what I call “The Ephesians Ecology”.

    The Ephesians Ecology ties into “The Threat Map” (on my agenda to develop) through the Psalm 68 vision of the equipping gifts as what reclaims human sovereignty from tyrannical complexes and constructs (like Max Weber’s Iron Cage).

    What we’d need to work on:

    Me: Write the show script. Also, complete the basic profiles of the 5 gifts (based on the “Shape of Your Gift” frame.

    @etcetera : Could we find cut scene footage of each of the team member, then capture a still out of the footage from which to create a profile page? Talk to me about the particulars of this last part.

    What about using this as the Mon/Wisdom piece:

    No man is an island,
    entire of itself;
    every man is a piece of the continent,
    a part of the main.
    If a clod be washed away by the sea,
    Europe is the less,
    as well as if a promontory were.
    as well as if a manor of thy friend’s
    or of thine own were.
    Any man’s death diminishes me,
    because I am involved in mankind;
    and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
    it tolls for thee.

    From Meditation 17 by John Donne, written while he was seriously ill in the winter of 1623. (See also the other wisdom on the QZ post.)

    John was an interesting character. An adventurer in his youth, he took a job as a political aid till he married his bosses daughter and had ticked him off. He then ran for political office himself and then entered the Church (after converting from Catholicism to Anglicanism).

    He’s the most preeminent of the metaphysical poets.

    Thinking about team work as the sys dyn: Google did a big study and discovered that how people where treated on teams was more important than who was on the team:

    Interesting that after the 5 gifts are outlined in Eph 4, the rest of chapter 4 and all of chapter 5 are about love and how people are treated.

    This guy says about the same thing, but from the perspective of leadership:

    Was thinking last night and this AM about what the 5 APEST equipping roles would be in terms of a military spec-ops team:

    Apostle: Strategy
    Prophet: Intel
    Evangelist: Tactics
    Shepherd: Health & Morale
    Teacher: Logistics

    OR in terms of more raw roles:

    Apostle: Commander
    Prophet: Recon
    Evangelist: Breacher / Berserker
    Shephard: Medic
    Teacher: Tech
