  Preview Area Stuck at 0:04 secs or Very Short Playback

  When @BlackoutKnight added his first video the Blender editing area, he could only playback the first 4 seconds of the video, even though the strip (what blender calls media clips) was much longer.

  Turns out that for some reason, the default playback window is set to 250 frames, which given most project frame rates = ~4 sec. You can change the frame limit by finding the following dialog area around the edit window: “Start 0 | End 250” and enter a higher end number.

  If you’d like the playback to include the whole strip or series of strips, click on the strip(s) to select it, then right click to open the context menu and select “Set Preview Range to Strips”.
