  Base Setting for Shelter The Flame: E-Land

  Shelter the Flame happens somewhere in the Americas. The SparkCrafters Inceptus cohort is currently searching for the exact location as part of their Storify course. We’re doing this by creating backstory for the existence of The Village in “Prologue: Vikare’s Dream” — a story about how Founder Alexander Vikare’s grandfather Samuel purchases to plot of land with the help of his son Bob in 1995-1996.

  To create this Prologue, we needed to create a modern-day city, so we started looking for pre-built maps in the MC community. @Etcetera headed up the effort and soon settled on the E-land Map by Si_vle as our base map.

  The world is so big, we’re trying to figure out everything as we modify it for our needs. Eventually we’ll release our own version of the map/world and associated mods for our game play. For now, we’re trying to use the metro and rail system to find our way and get around:
