    Inspiration for the Hall of Wisdom

    @BlackoutKnight and I are working on an Architecture challenge for MagSchool. We’re going to create a hall for each of the Seven Spirits on the giant star fort. You’re welcome to join in the project by posting replies here. For each building, we’re going to collect actual reference buildings from around the world in threads on this forum and then use those buildings for inspiration to make the MagSchool halls. We’ll also use this project to do some geography (where the buildings are located) and history (when were they built, who built them, and why).

    You can start by trying different internet searches.

    • Try to come up with a search phrase that will return some good results. For example: “building symbolizes wisdom”.
    • You can also think about the topics of wisdom (Wisdom: philosophy, psychology, biography) and ask what buildings usually are used for those topics. In my mind, that would be libraries, academies, universities. Then try a search like “famous libraries”.

    Don’t forget to use “image search” on Google if text searches are slowing you down. You can always reverse research a building on Wikipedia once you find one you like in a picture.
