This forum will serve as our “Facebook Marketplace”, “Craigslist,” or “classified ads” for SparkQuest. Players may post any economy-related in-game offering so long as it doesn’t violate the community rules, server rules, and is legal. Post jobs, services, goods, objects, property, etc. in this forum. All transactions must be in New City dollars (no real money) or trade with in-game objects. There are three basic types of transactions:

    • Selling Items: To sell an item, simple begin your post with “FOR SALE” — all CAPS — and then the name of what your item is. In the body of the post, describe your item, its condition, its price and post a picture. You should also say up front whether your item is first-come-first-serve (first buyer to offer the price wins) or auction (bidder to post the highest offer during certain period of time wins). Potential buyers will see your post and can ask questions or put in an offer.
    • Selling Real Estate: Because selling property in New City requires some SysOp level powers, all real estate sales (houses, apartments, land, etc.) requires the use of licensed New City Realtors. Realtors will help you get your property ready to sell, or if you’re buying, will help you find a place to meet your needs. They’ll walk you through the process every step of the way — and most of it happens on the discussion forum. Posts for buying/selling real estate begin with the type of property: “HOUSE:,” “LAND:,” “BUILDING:,” “FACTORY:,” “STORE:,” etc.
    • Jobs: If you have something you’d like to pay somebody to do, create a post with “JOB:” as the beginning of the title. Make sure you include details about your expectations and the pay details of your offer (how much/when).
    • RFPs: Requests For Proposals (RFPs) are requests for building groups, contractors, and talented individuals to submit proposals to complete contract jobs for a business, organization, or government entity. Read the RFP and reply to it with a proposal according to the specifications listed. You’ll be contacted if you’re awarded the contract.
    • Add a short but interesting title to the subject of your post like “Charming Mountain Cottage” or “Great Opportunity for Apprentice Builder”.
    • You may optionally want to include an amount in the title to help people figure out if your offering fits there budget or needs without having to open each offering.

If you need support, the fastest way to get help is to post to the UK Discord channel.
