OK haven’t figured it out yet then the key part of lotr are the key parts of any story are #1 characters (Frodo, Sam, Pippin, etc) a mission, quest, etc (Frodo needs to destroy the ring) a beginning (depending on were you start Bilbo finding the ring or Frodo leaving the Shire) a middle (Lothlorien, death of Boromir battle of Helms deep) an end (fall of the dark tower, the crowning of Aragorn, departure of Elrond, Celeborn, Galadriel, Gandalf, and Frodo takes an elven ship to the blessed realm).
