Making of the Hearts Presentation

If you are here you’ve probably already seen our presentation and you want to know more about its creation. We used several types of software to achieve the finished product.

One of the main ones was Inkscape a vector-based drawing program, a vector-based drawing program works by drawing lines from one point to another and storing information about the lines and shapes. We used Inkscape to make all of the assets.

Here is a link in case you want to install it and try it out for yourself:https://inkscape.org/

Another one we used and the one that was actually used to make the presentation itself was Sozi. Sozi is not a PowerPoint or a video, it is a mixture of the two, it only moves when you click it, but the movement is fluid in a way that a PowerPoint can’t. There are tutorials on YouTube if you want to try it for yourself.

The back rounds were from Minecraft, but some of them were captured using the OBS recording studio and edited with Blender.

Some of the Inspiration for this came from this Tedx:

This presentation was the kickoff for #lookupscreensdown, we put the majority of it together in a week with the rest being mostly browser issues.
